Founded The Association was founded in January 1990.
Aims
As the voice of the British sandwich industry, the primary aims of The
British Sandwich Association are:
To safeguard the integrity of the
sandwich industry by setting technical standardsfor sandwich making and
by encouraging improvement in the industry.
To promote excellence and
innovation in sandwich making.
To provide a source of information for
the industry. To promote the consumption of sandwiches.
To provide a
collective voice for all those involved in making, distributing and
retailing sandwiches and to represent the views of the industry.
The British Sandwich Association publishes The International Sandwich and Snack News magazine which is the official
journal of the British Sandwich Association (BSA), the UK body
representing Sandwich makers, suppliers and retailers.
The
magazine is published eight times a year and distributed to retail
buyers, caterers, sandwich bars and associated businesses in the
industry and is a must read magazine for everyone in or thinking about coming into the industry.
